I began practicing yoga in 7th grade, in the comfort of my home through yoga DVD’s. Growing up, I had always struggled with body dysmorphia, weight management, exercising in front of other people, and always thought of exercise as punishment for my body’s state. Yoga became the first form of movement where I felt nourished rather than punished. In Yin yoga, I found contentment in stillness and breath. It had always been on my heart to become a yoga instructor and in 2025 I took the step to become certified at UPY. I strive to encourage others that movement is meant to be positive and feel good. Beyond group fitness, I have ran 6 half marathons, one full marathon, and two ultra marathons. Currently I hold credentials as a NASM certified personal trainer, barre instructor, and RYT-200.
